The Centre

Il Centro di Terapia della Famiglia di Milano (CMTF)

The Milanese Centre of Family Therapy was founded, in 1981, by Luigi Boscolo and Gianfranco Cecchin who created an approach to therapeutic conduct now known and studied as the “Milan Approach ©”. Boscolo and Cecchin have been the protagonists of the systemic thought in light of Gregory Bateson’s reflections, second order cybernetics, constructivism and in more recent years permeated by authors such as Michel Foucault as well as other clinicians, epistemologists and social anthropologists.

The Systemic Psychotherapy Centre affiliated with the CMTF is constituted by a team of psychotherapists that practice their activity in the headquarters in Via Leopardi in Milan.
