Systemic Psychotherapy Professional Doctorate
A SEMINAR WITH TIM INGOLD

A CONVERSATION
Professor Tim Ingold is Emeritus Professor of Social Anthropology at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. His work spans many decades of writing and thinking about relationships between people and their environment and about how connections and dialogues are possible in a world of differences. His ideas about attentiveness and correspondence are particularly relevant to systemic psychotherapy research and clinical practice.

In this event you are invited to join a conversation with Tim, in which we will look for common ground between his ideas about the practice of anthropology and our ideas about systemic psychotherapy, which might facilitate enquiries in both disciplines. We will be talking about joining, process, reflexivity and participation, as well as the work of Deleuze and Guattari and the New Directions Group. For participants wishing to familiarise themselves with Tim’s recent work, we suggest
his collection Correspondences (published by Polity Press in 2020).

We are very pleased to invite you to this free in-person event. Numbers are limited and tickets will be available on Eventbrite. There will be a possibility to join online.
